Membership Terms and Conditions
Except where expressly agreed otherwise by us in writing every member of the club shall be subject to these terms and conditions. Te Aroha Swimming Club Inc reserves the right to use discretion in all matters relating to membership.
- Membership is per term. New members have a two week period to revoke their membership and receive a full refund of club registration fees and pro rata’d squad fees.
- The membership term begins on the first night of training for all squads and fees are due 7 days after this. A member joining partway through the term will be eligible for prorata’d squad fees only.
- Members wishing to pay by installments must do so by automatic payments that will clear fees in full by the end of the term.
- Parents/Guardians of swimmers under 12 are responsible for their swimmer until they have entered the water. Non swimming children are the full responsibility of parents/guardians at all times. Coaches can instruct a parent to remove children from the pool area if they are a safety concern.
- Members will be notified by email of any changes to subscription fees; the website will detail other changes. Invoices are sent out by email as soon as swimmers are registered and allocated a squad.
- Terms and conditions of membership may be revised from time to time and members should be aware of the terms and conditions posted on the website.
- The Swim Club will endeavour to provide the best possible coaching and pool each week but weather conditions may cause cancellations of classes at short notice. Cancellations will be posted on Facebook and emailed.
- All parents/guardians are expected to assist in keeping the pool area safe, by taking on responsibilities that ensure the smooth running of events including race nights and in setting up and packing away pool lanes and covers.
- All swimmers and parents guardians must be familiar with and abide by the Club Code of Conduct posted on our website
- Members are required to follow the COVID-19 guidelines at all times
